Why Manufacturing Software Sucks

How to Find a System that doesn’t Fail or Frustrate

Manufacturing software sucks. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. But, it doesn’t have to suck. We teamed up with our friends at Fiix Software and Rob’s Reliability Project to talk about why traditional software sucks and what can be done to make it better.

Summary: Frustrating. Too slow. Expensive. Complicated implementation. Not built for the user. Difficulty getting buy-in from the team. Complicated. No leadership backing. Not a silver bullet. Too difficult to connect to ERP. Can’t connect to other software. No clear owner.

These are all common phrases or words used to explain why manufacturing software sucks. It really paints a bleak picture, right? To many in the industry, manufacturing software evokes feelings of stress and anger.

Believe it or not, manufacturing software is not all doom and gloom. It doesn’t always have to suck, and it sure as heck doesn’t have to be complex or cumbersome. Don’t believe us?

This webinar brings together Scott Deckers, Fiix Director of Customer Success, Bryan Sapot CEO of Mingo Manufacturing Productivity Software, and Rob Kalwarowsky, High Performance Leadership Coach at Elite High Performance and Co-Host of Rob’s Reliability Podcast to talk about all things software – the good, the bad, and the ugly. Don’t fret, though, with the bad, comes insight and guidance on how to actually find the good in manufacturing software.
You’ll learn how to set yourself up to have a good software experience.

Scott, Bryan, and Rob will look at things like:

  • The impact company culture has on the success of a software implementation
  • How to do proper research to find software that actually works and solves the pain point that you’re working to find solutions for
  • How you can use manufacturing software to connect to not only manufacturing and maintenance teams, but your systems and data, too

There is no doubt that you will close out the webinar feeling empowered to select the right (and best) manufacturing software for your business and the problems you want to solve. As others or past experiences might have led you to believe, the process isn’t as daunting as you may believe. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
